Michael (2026 Review)
This was a fantastic film! As someone who listened to MJ growing up, it was a dream come true. You will be dancing to the music every time. Jaafar Jackson's performance was incredible and really brought Michael back to the spotlight. The movie delivered great remixes throughout the entire film. I found the movie very funny at times. It definitely had a good bit of comedy spread throughout it. I think the story was told very well. I only have a few problems with the movie. Number 1: The animals in the film did not fit at all, and you could easily tell it was CGI. Number 2: The remixes are good, but not very noticeable. The film used the original song recordings and blended the actor's real voice, so you can't listen to the new versions on music apps. I was really hoping for new versions of the songs outside of the film. The actors were very well chosen. They all look very similar to the real people. I did notice people who were not big fans of Michael mainly liked the music the most. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience. It's a great way to introduce a new audience to the king of pop. I would give it an 8/10.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (Review)
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is visually stunning. I found the film to be pretty enjoyable. Now, the film is not perfect. It is a step up from its predecessor, but it still suffers from the same issues. I found Yoshi to be the highlight of the film. He was hilarious to watch and made me smile every time. The movie's pacing is not as bad as others are saying, at least to me. This definitely feels like it was made for theaters that offer 3D glasses. The animation was incredible, and the fight scenes were very dynamic. I found Bowser to be pretty strange at times. The comedy felt a little forced, but I did laugh a good bit. The final scenes of the film could slightly frighten kids. The characters' relationships were sometimes emotional. The film borrowed some plot points from other movies. The voice acting was impressive. Glen Powell's character was really good. Not all the jokes land, but the film moves on to another pretty quickly. This is a movie for the fans. I would give it a 8/10.
Hoppers (Review)
Hoppers is a fantastic film. You may have noticed how I didn't call it a fantastic kids film. This has to be one of the best Pixar films I have ever watched. Now, it is a very story-heavy film. I found it to be very heartfelt and emotional. I kind of felt like the film borrowed some ideas from previous films, including Up. There was one scene near the very end of the movie that may frighten younger kids. However, it didn't really change my opinion on the film as much. This is a perfect film for people who love nature and animals. The story was very well done, and the studio made sure almost every question was answered. From what I could tell, every character got a satisfying conclusion. The animation was incredible, and I found the environments to be very expressive. The world looked very beautiful and I couldn't really see any mistakes. This is a perfect film for people who love nature and families. I would give it an 7.5/10.
Zootopia 2 (Review)
What an incredible film. I tried to watch the trailers, but they didn't seem interesting. While this film isn't perfect, it has a lot of charm. The movie's animation is arguably better than the first. The new characters are a welcoming addition as well. I just can't believe the cameos and studios involved with the film, but I'll save that for you to find out. This film's box office reflects how people are not just watching it once; they're watching it multiple times. This movie is also very emotional, and it almost made me cry. The writing is amazing! When there was a sad moment, it would be followed by a joke. One of the villains did seem a little predictable. It includes a few modern references, and the jokes are hilarious. Unlike its predecessor, its incredible storytelling makes it a movie I want to watch again. Also, keep an eye out for some Disney references. This is the Best comedy film of the year for the whole family. I am going to give this film a 9/10
How To Train Your Dragon (2025 Review)
Dreamworks does what Disney wouldn't. This film is almost like an HD version of the original. It looks visually stunning, and the story is incredible. You can't really mess this film's story up. They knew what to keep and what to add. I am excited for the sequel more than ever now. The actors did a really good job at capturing the spirit of the original. In fact, a lot of people who created the original, including actors, were involved. This movie's soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard. I was engaged in the story and only felt annoyed by the beginning of the film. This movie was made with a lot of care for the franchise. I am going to give this movie an 8/10.
Karate Kid: Legends (Review)
I love the Karate Kid franchise. This film feels like a trip down memory lane. The movie is very fast-paced and can sometimes throw you off guard. I was hoping for more of the original cast to return, but they didn't. I still enjoyed watching this film though. I am going to give it an 8/10.
